How To Read netstat -s Output
The output of netstat varies from
one operating system to the next.
This variation goes beyond Linux versus Solaris,
different releases of the same kernel will have slightly
data structures.
Even the same kernel release will gain networking data
structures when kernel modules are loaded.
The -s option is intended to mean "statistics",
but "counters" is a far better explanation.
