Our boat had nice views from the upper deck.
Being well above the water line, and with the canal often
slightly above ground level, we had nice views of
the countryside and villages we passed.

People walk and bicycle
along the paths beside the canal
A long straight stretch lined with trees
France has a lot of
very good farm land
