There are many other traditional cafes in Brussels, these pages have just shown a few.
Some restaurants also have surprising choices available. At right is a picture from the Da Kao II cafe, a Vietnamese place with low priced lunch specials. But they have a wide range of choices of beverage, including two or three varieties of Chimay.
Below are some pictures showing the rows of grand cafes down either side of the Bourse and along Boulevard Anspach.
Even simple neighborhood cafes provide the foreign traveler with opportunities to try classic Belgian beers.
At left is a goblet of Leffe, an Abbey ale now brewed in large quantities. Leffe is now owned by InBev and brewed at the Stella Artois brewery in Leuven. But the Leffe Trappist monastery still gets royalties.
Hostel Jacques Brel provides low cost lodging in Brussels. It's near the Medou Métro station in the northeast corner of the innermost ring. And, it includes a small bar on its ground floor.
At left below is a Cuvée des Trolls from the Dubuisson Brewery in Pipaix. Dried orange peels are used in its production.
At right below is a Duvel Belgian Strong Golden Ale.
